Living in Bogota, the capital city of Colombia, is great: I love the culture and people. I also love our beautiful apartment... but it's just that - an apartment. I really do miss our real home and yes, calling a house a "real home" is a long stretch for a military family. My husband and I just found out that we will be moving again in a little less than one year, which is something we are pretty excited about (back to the U.S. it goes!). I know that chances are low that we will go back to the beautiful Washington State (where we have bought our first home), so I really can't wait to find out where the military will send us. Not knowing can be both frustrating and exciting - and the same goes for looking for a new house. We still have some time to enjoy here in South America, but I'm already dreaming about what our new home could look like. I'm especially looking forward to having a bigger kitchen, which is just not possible in an apartment in a capital city! I do have specific visions of my dream kitchen, which are probably the whole opposite of what my husband would like (he is more modern, while I would describe my style as more clean and romantic). But a girl can dream, right?
Holy kitchen windows!
