Daniel and I finally had our well deserved vacation which we spent in Bella Italia before visiting my family in Germany. We hadn't taken a real vacation (weekend-trips don't count) since we started dating - and by that I mean vacation that don't include our families. Since my husband and I live quite far away from both of our families, we spend most of our vacation times either visiting his family in New Jersey or my family in Germany. Of course we love and enjoy every moment that we get to spend with our loved ones - it's really hard if you don't get to see the people you cherish the most as often as you want! Still, we really wanted and needed some time away from work and school just for ourselves.
We decided to take a road trip in Italy and travel from Rome to Naples, and from there then drive along the shore and spend some times in some smaller, less touristic towns. It definitely was an amazing trip - Italy is incredibly beautiful (and so romantic too)! There are so many interesting things to explore, especially when you have the time to rent a car and go on an adventure outside the big cities. Also, we were totally head over heels about the food! Daniel and I ate pizza and pasta every day, and also enjoyed the some delicious red wine! At the end of our vacation, both of us had problems to fit comfortably in our pants - still, totally worth it! For now, we are back to enjoying our day-to-day life, but I can't wait for our next adventure to start!
